RUIMTE × Soixante at Antwerp Design Week 2026

RUIMTE and Soixante present “A Design Tasting” during Antwerp Design Week

As part of Antwerp Design Week 2026, RUIMTE is hosting an intimate brunch experience together with Soixante Antwerp, where collectible design and contemporary Polish cuisine meet around one shared table.

Taking place on Sunday 31 May 2026, A Design Tasting invites guests to experience design differently: not in a gallery setting, but through conversation, food, materials and atmosphere.

A Different Kind of Antwerp Design Week Event

During the brunch, five dishes created by chef Kuba Blogowski will be paired with five collectible design objects selected by Agata Moerenhout, founder of RUIMTE.

Each course becomes a moment to discover the stories behind the objects, the designers, and the relationship between functional art and everyday life.

Rather than a traditional presentation or walking dinner, the event is designed as a slower and more intimate experience, where guests can spend time with the objects, the food and the conversations around the table.

Five courses. Five objects. One unhurried Sunday.

Polish Collectible Design Meets Contemporary Polish Cuisine

RUIMTE focuses on collectible design and functional art that bring together sculpture, materiality and daily use. The curated selection presented during the brunch includes contemporary objects by Polish designers and artists whose work moves between design and art.

At the same time, chef Kuba Blogowski of Soixante Antwerp approaches Polish cuisine from a contemporary perspective, combining tradition with a more refined and personal interpretation.

Together, the brunch creates a dialogue between objects and food: two creative disciplines shaped by culture, atmosphere and storytelling.

Discover the Designers Behind the Collection

The five objects presented during A Design Tasting were selected from RUIMTE’s wider collection of Polish collectible design. The selection brought together works by Malwina Konopacka, whose bold ceramic objects sit at the intersection of art and function; Pani Jurek, known for sculptural ceramic lighting inspired by visual language and abstract symbolism; SALAKa furniture studio recognised for its restrained forms and strong material presence; and Lexavala, an experimental lighting studio that transforms familiar industrial archetypes into sculptural statement pieces.

During the brunch, RUIMTE also introduced a new addition to its collection: The Good Living & Co., , a handcrafted furniture brand whose story is rooted in generations of steel craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for timeless design.

Guests were invited to discover the five objects selected for the event and explore the stories, materials and makers behind each piece.
