Collection: Malwina Konopacka

Malwina Konopacka – designer and illustrator, author of the OKO ceramics collection. Born in 1982 in Warsaw, she studied Industrial Design at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and illustration at the Universität der Künste in Berlin. As an illustrator, she collaborated with the press and it was from her passion for illustration that the first OKO vases were born – the artist wanted to see how drawing would work in the three-dimensional world of everyday objects.

The first object from the OKO family was created in 2014 and since then the collection has been constantly growing. All items designed by Malwina Konopacka are made and painted by hand in cooperation with qualified craftsmen and technologists.

A master of ceramic arts, Konopacka's distinctive visual language and bold use of color have earned her international recognition. Her pieces seamlessly blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics, being on the border of visual arts and design.

Malwina Konopacka's ceramic works are found in numerous private collections and in the design collection of the National Museum in Krakow. They are also regularly presented at exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Currently (01-06.2025) showcased at the "Regeneration" exhibition which brings together representation of contemporary Polish art and design in the buildings of the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament in honor of Poland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union.
