OKO Vase by Malwina Konopacka – Iconic Handcrafted Ceramic

The OKO Vase is the signature piece from celebrated Polish designer Malwina Konopacka — and her most recognized ceramic creation. Named after the Polish word for “eye,” the vase features oval cut-out recesses that give the piece a sculptural, dimensional quality. When not in use as a flower vase, the OKO functions as a bold, standalone ceramic sculpture — a design object that adds artistic depth to any interior.

OKO Cyrk is a variation on the OKO vase – an iconic design has been enriched with additional elements in the form of colored balls. It is distinguished by its unglazed finish with vivid, high-gloss color balls. This raw, natural clay finish adds contrast and graphic expression, bringing a lightness to the form while emphasizing the material’s beauty. The subtle interplay between matte and gloss finishes adds visual interest and makes each piece feel dynamic from every angle.

Each OKO Vase is handcrafted by skilled artisans in a ceramics factory near Warsaw, using traditional techniques in combination with contemporary design language. The result is a timeless object that sits comfortably between art, craft, and functional design.

About the Designer

Malwina Konopacka is a celebrated Polish ceramic artist and illustrator, known for her expressive visual language and bold use of color. Her work blends illustration with form, sitting at the intersection of design and visual art. Her work has been featured in leading design publications and showcased in prominent exhibitions and design collections — including the “Regeneration” exhibition at the Council of the European Union, and the Design Museum Brussels.

She was recently named to the prestigious AD100 list by Architectural Digest, honoring the world’s top designers and tastemakers.
