RUIMTE Recognized as one of Antwerp’s hotspots by Feeling Magazine

A moment to remember

Sometimes the dreams you quietly write on your wish list come true sooner than expected. This fall, RUIMTE was named one of Antwerp’s design hotspots by Feeling Magazine — featured among 36 iconic and new places worth visiting in the city.

The feature, titled “De Antwerpse Zes en Dertig” (“The Antwerp Thirty-Six”), celebrates Antwerp’s creative energy — from fashion and food to design and craftsmanship. Seeing RUIMTE listed among those names felt both surreal and deeply affirming.

RUIMTE’s story in Feeling

In the article, Feeling Magazine describes RUIMTE as a design destination on the move — a travelling interior concept that continues to evolve.

Founded by Agata Moerenhout, RUIMTE has grown from a small pop-up in Puurs to a curated store in Antwerp’s Kloosterstraat, known for its bold selection of contemporary design, ceramics, lighting, and art objects.

The piece highlights RUIMTE’s collaborations and ever-changing curation:

“RUIMTE goes on a design journey. The interior boutique of Agata Moerenhout previously took over the restaurant Soixante and opened her own shop in Kloosterstraat. There you’ll discover emerging designers alongside Belgian label Iriss..”

More than a store — a community

For me this recognition isn’t just about visibility. It’s a celebration of what RUIMTE stands for — collaboration, curiosity, and creative exchange.

“When I started this journey, I promised myself it wouldn’t be a lonely one. I wanted to build a community — to prove that success isn’t about doing it alone, but about sharing it and celebrating each other’s milestones.”

From design showcases at Soixante, collaborating with Design Museum in Brussels, to collaborative pop-ups and projects with emerging artists, RUIMTE keeps expanding not only as a store but as a movement — connecting people and stories across disciplines.

A new chapter ahead

Being featured in Feeling Magazine marks an important milestone, but it also feels like a new beginning. RUIMTE continues its creative journey this November — joining Lucky Bastard, another Antwerp favourite, for a fresh chapter of design encounters and shared inspiration.
